About the event
Black Girls Bloom Together is an intimate emotional-wellness experience created to support Black girls ages 10–13 during a critical stage of social and emotional development. Designed for girls to attend alongside a parent or trusted guardian, this program centers connection, understanding, and open dialogue in a safe and affirming environment.
In partnership with the Yale Child Study Center, the experience is guided by mental-health professionals and educators who help families explore emotional awareness, healthy expression, and communication skills. Through facilitated conversations, interactive activities, and shared reflection, girls learn how to identify and name their emotions, build confidence in expressing themselves, and feel validated in their experiences.
Parents and guardians gain practical tools to foster open, judgment-free conversations, strengthen trust, and better support their child’s emotional needs at home.
